Illinois Association of Private Special Education Centers (IAPSEC) is a not-for-profit organization consisting of private schools
interested in the general welfare of Illinois children with exceptional needs and the quality of special education made available to them.

IAPSEC was established to assure that a high standard of special education, care, and treatment is available to all Illinois children with exceptional needs.

IAPSEC provides representation for private schools by advocating for special education and the students that private schools serve.

IAPSEC also works on private school issues with state agencies. By working with all levels of state government, IAPSEC ensures that your voice is heard by those who influence legislation and state policies that affect private schools.

There are many opportunities to develop professional relationships with colleagues in the private special education sector at
IAPSEC's monthly meetings. Private school representatives are happy to help answer questions for new directors coming into the field.

IAPSEC members are private special education centers which serve children with physical and mental disabilities throughout the State of Illinois.

Members support one another with issues of legislation, rules and regulations, approvals, and program improvements.

Any private school interested in promoting the general welfare and education of Illinois children with exceptional needs is encouraged to join IAPSEC.
