Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine – IPRM – CALIFORNIA
The Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine (IPRM) is a collaborative initiative of the UC Davis School of Medicine and the Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California (SHCNC). The IPRM carries out basic and translational/clinical research, with the aim of helping children with spinal cord dysfunction, orthopaedic disorders and burns.
The IPRM occupies more than 27,000 square feet of laboratory space at SHCNC on the UC Davis Medical Center (UCDMC) campus in Sacramento. One focus of the IPRM is on the potential for stem cell-based therapies to facilitate the regeneration of neural and connective tissues and skin. A second research interest of the IPRM is on Immunomodulation in children with burns or spinal cord injuries.
