JFK Medical Center
Since its inception, JFK Medical Center has been dedicated to providing the highest quality care to children in an efficient and family oriented environment. The Pediatric Department offers a wide range of cutting-edge healthcare for children from birth through 21 years of age. Our team of superbly qualified and accomplished pediatric doctors and nurses are experts in treating children.
At JFK, pediatric inpatients of all ages and with any diagnosis are cared for in a 30-bed hospital unit and a 6-bed level II Neonatal Special Care Unit. The pediatric inpatient unit is complemented by a 5-bed Pediatric Special Care Unit that is designed to care for severely or critically ill children. In these units, we understand the stresses that children face during hospitalization and we recognize that children definitely need specialized care. With that in mind, we offer services in the pediatric units that are geared toward doing just that. The units feature a beautiful play room equipped with the latest electronic video games and computer labs. Tutoring arrangements are made with the child’s school system to compensate for lost school activities.
