The Bluegrass Technology Center is a twenty year old consumer driven, non-profit organization assisting individuals with disAbilities, their families and service providers obtain technologies that provide the gateway to greater independence, productivity, and quality of life.  The Center provides Information & Referral Services to individuals, families and professionals working with people with a wide variety of disAbility challenges. BTC operates nine Lending Library Programs to enable individuals to "try out" devices and strategies to help them live, learn, work and play. Trainings, Technical Assistance and Advocacy services are also available. We are excited to share we have expanded our Re-Utilization activities beyond computer related items to include durable medical equipment items such as walkers, wheelchairs and gait trainers to support people unable to afford items. to increase their awareness and understanding of how technology can enhance their ability to participate more fully in the community. We seek to help redefine human potential by making technology a regular part of the lives of people with disAbilities. Bluegrass Technology Center is a member of the national Alliance for Technology Access and serves as the Eastern Regional Center for the Kentucky Assistive Technology Service (KATS) Network. BTC has a history of providing quality services to thousands of individuals with disabilities, their families and professionals throughout Central and Eastern Kentucky
