Kentucky Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs
The mission of the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs is to enhance the quality of life for Kentucky's children with special health care needs through direct service, leadership, education and collaboration. Our goal is to establish and maintain organized, ongoing, innovative education, and outreach programs for staff, families and communities.
The Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs can provide the following types of services for children with special health care needs:
- Clinic Services on site at CCSHCN offices in 12 locations. Satellite clinics in physician offices, therapy services, related lab and follow up services, medication and durable medical equipment.
- Additionally, the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs provides therapy services such as Physical Therapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech Therapy. The commission does not cover primary medical care. All services must be authorized in advance by your care coordinator
