The ultimate goal of the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Division of Learning Services Coordinator for Transition Services, is the successful transition of all students from school to post-school activities – whether postsecondary education, vocational training, integrated employment, continuing and adult education, adult services, independent living or community participation. We also recognize that many other transitions occur over the course of the life of an individual.
