In April 1998 the Statewide Partnership of Kentucky for Effective Support (SPOKES-a statewide parent group) and the Kentucky Family Based Services Association (KFBSA-a statewide professional group merged to become Kentucky Partnership for Families and Children, Inc. This merge allowed KPFC to provide a united voice dedicated to improving services for children in Kentucky with emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.  Unites parents and professionals to  work in partnership.
KPFC works to:

  • Effect policy changes at the state level
  • Educate Legislators about the needs of children with severe emotional disabilities
  • Improve services so that all children and families are able to receive appropriate services in their communities
  • Give a voice to the youth and families that live with disability every day
