Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) is the City of Knoxville's transit system, operating buses, trolleys and paratransit service across the city. Our funding comes from the City of Knoxville, the state and federal governments and fare revenues. Veolia is our management company, and many of our operators and service personnel are members of the Amalgamated Transit Union local #1164. We carry over 3.6 million passenger trips each year.
