L.K.L.P. Community Action Partnership – Kentucky
L.K.L.P. Community Action Council is a private, non-profit corporation with the primary service area of the southeastern Kentucky counties of Leslie, Knott, Letcher, and Perry in the Kentucky River region.
The agency is a Community Action Agency established by the Kentucky General Assembly.
The LKLP Central Office is located at 398 Roy Campbell Drive, Hazard, Kentucky, next to Whayne Supply. All administrative functions are conducted at the Central Office including bookkeeping and program development. LKLP has offices located in each of the four counties in its' primary service area.
LKLP Community Action Council, Inc. has an array of programs that offer a multitude of services to the community and its’ residents.
Examples of support services provided include:
- The Community Collaboration for Children Program which provides case management, assessments and in-home parenting education support.
- The Community Service Block Grant – Provides services to children, adults, elderly and disabled individuals who incomes are at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Income guidelines. Services under this program include employment, education, nutrition, housing and income management assistance.
- Head Start Program
- Early Head Start
- Human Service Transportation services
- Housing assistance
- Home Energy Assistance Programs and more.
