LARC is a private not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing developmentally disabled adults with an opportunity to work, live, and participate in their community.  Originally formed as a school for children diagnosis with mental retardation in 1956 (The Lansing School of Special Education), LARC has grown to provide day training and work activities to approximately 90 adults with developmental disabilities from Southern Chicago land suburbs and Northwest Indiana in our main complex.  Also provided is a home environment for 36 individuals and work opportunities in the community through mobile work crews and individual placement.
