Lawrence and Baldwin Therapy Services clinics are spacious and comfortable with a variety of exercise equipment. Your therapist will train you in the proper and safe use of exercise equipment for use in the clinic and for home exercise. You will always be treated by a qualified therapist and have consistent care with the same therapist. We believe that your health care relationship with your therapist is the key to your successful recovery and health. Services Provided:
Physical Therapy – Our Physical Therapists help restore strength, flexibility, coordination and general function of patients who have been disabled by an accident or illness.
Occupational Therapy – Our Occupational Therapists will work with you to strengthen your arms/hands, recover your balance, and improve safety in your home and at work. Occupational Therapists are specialists in measuring for and selecting the right equipment for you and your safety needs. If you are looking to add grab bars to your shower, buy a power chair, need to select a wheelchair or a bath bench call us first. Our Occupational Therapists will advise you on the right piece of equipment for you that fits you and your home.
Speech Therapy – Our Speech Therapists or Speech Language Pathologists help patients regain their ability to produce and understand speech as well as facilitate communication skills.
Massage therapy – Can ease pain, decrease stress, improve blood circulation and relax your muscles. It also can make you feel lighter and add a spring to your step.
Speciality Therapy Programs:
Anodyne Neuropathy Treatment Program – Lawrence Therapy Services is a center for the treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy and Peripheral Neuropathy. Neuropathy causes numbness and pain in the feet and hands. The pain and the illness become worse overtime and can lead to a high risk for falling when the person cannot feel their feet on the ground. Anodyne is a light therapy that is safe and effective for reducing pain and increasing sensation by increasing blood flow. The treatments are 30 to 45 minutes long 3 times a week to the painful feet. At Lawrence Therapy Services, you will also do exercises to increase strength, balance exercises to decrease fall risk and gait training to improve your speed, safety and agility as you walk. Anodyne, in conjunction with an exercise program during treatment,is covered by medical insurance when it is part of a Physical Therapy plan of care.
Pediatric Therapy – Kids and Their Families – Lawrence Therapy Services and Baldwin Therapy Services offers Pediatric Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Play Therapy.
