The First United Methodist Preschool was established in 1987.  A staff of five people served 58 children that first year.  The Preschool was located in the Upper Preschool Hall in Rooms 140, 141 and 144. At that time, the church administrative office area was the church fellowship and gathering area.  The Preschool used that area for a large indoor gross motor area and for Music & Movement.

Over the years, the Preschool has grown and now meets in five classrooms on the Lower Preschool Hall and five classrooms on the Upper Preschool Hall.  The Half-Day Preschool meets in the Nursery classrooms 214, 215 and 216. 

The preschool program at Kids Crossing Learning Center at First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville is widely known in this area as a preschool with sensitivity towards children with special needs.  We work cooperatively with local agencies to provide support to families with special needs children.
