Leaps and Bounds is a non-profit organization that exists because of our volunteers and generous donors
Our Adaptive Riding session offers recreational and therapeutic benefits to clients. Clients ride on a specially trained horse and are aided by a trained professional who focuses on coordination, strength, endurance and body awareness practices, while at the same time teaches the basic principles and joy of horsemanship.
Hands on Horses
Leaps & Bounds Hands on Horses program is an integrated ground based program to develop trust and familiarity between the students and equine staff. Our non-mounted time establishes the sensory comfort of each student individually while remaining in a safe and secure setting. Students learn to groom, lead and care for the animals. The benefits are personal and tremendously gratifying. The quality supervision and the transfer of practical application skills is beneficial to the students future in learning a new activity.
