Learning Disabilities Association of Texas
LDAT was chartered in 1963 as a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), parent/professional membership organization to offer help and hope to those struggling with learning disabilities, the "invisible disability." We invite you to visit our membership page and find how you can become a part of LDAT.
Common learning disabilities are in the areas of reading (dyslexia), math (dyscalculia), and writing (dysgraphia), and are often further complicated by related disorders such as attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. LDAT believes that every person with learning disabilities can be successful in school, at work, in relationships, and in their community – given the right opportunities and support! Our mission is to advocate for such support and increase opportunities for all children and adults with learning disabilities.
