"Transportation is important in everyone's life. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a federal civil rights law, requires public transit to be accessible to persons of disability. Accessibility features on Link Transit buses include: lifts or ramps, mobility aid securement locations, designated priority seating, handrails, stop announcements, stop request devices, public address system, destination and route signs, lighting. Buses operate on fixed schedules so trips can be planned ahead or you can travel at a moment's notice. Link Transit serves major shopping malls, hospitals, clinics, government and social service offices, as well as other points of interest. Riding the bus is easy! Link Transit can provide individuals or groups with Travel Training that teach you to use the bus system and become more mobile and independent. LinkPlus is the name of the service provided by Link Transit that delivers the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandated public transit for those individuals who are unable to use the fixed-route bus service in Chelan and Douglas Counties.
