"The Loup City Handibus, run with the assistance of federal and state funding, serves residents in Loup City as well as Ashton and Litchfield. The handibus is equipped with a lift for wheelchairs.
The handibus will pick up passengers in Loup City by appointment with at least thirty minutes advance notice on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The bus runs from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Thursdays, the bus travels to Grand Island and Kearney with residents from Loup City, Ashton, and Litchfield. A free-will donation of 50¢ for Loup City and $3.00 for out of town trips is recommended."
