The Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired under the Maine Department of Labor provides comprehensive services for Visually Impaired and Blind Individuals of all Ages.  The Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired can provide many services to persons with severe visual impairments. 

• Education Services for Children – Comprehensive services for children and families begin as soon as a child is identified as blind or visually impaired.  Trained staff and teachers from Catholic Charities Maine work with parents and schools to develop and implement an individualized education program.
