Massachusetts Department of Children and Families
The Department of Children and Families is charged with protecting children from abuse and neglect and strengthening families. There are currently more than 8,000 children in foster care across Massachusetts and more than 40,000 children in all served by the Department. DCF has 4 regional offices and 29 area offices across the Commonwealth. There is one central office located in Boston that provides support to the field offices.
Programs and services: Adolescent Services, Adoption/Guardianship service, Domestic Violence Prevention, Foster Care, Housing Stabilization, Family Support & Stabilization and Out of Home Placements.
