Methow Valley Riding Unlimited is dedicated to promoting the health, healing, and well being of individuals and the community through integrated educational, therapeutic, and recreational horsemanship  programs, sport riding and community service opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Welcome to Methow Valley Riding Unlimited, located at the beautiful Moccasin Lake Ranch in Winthrop, Washington. Using the HORSE as a vehicle for learning, growth, healing and building connections, our unique programs are built around the common attraction of both the horse and the natural environment of the ranch. Begun as a Pilot 4H project for challenged children in the summer of 1993, MVRU programs now include therapeutic riding, vaulting, english and western horsemanship, community service, work training , sport riding and educational field trips, for individuals of every age and ability. Programs run March through November. MVRU is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, not-for- profit corporation guided by a Board of Directors. Our staff includes high quality, certified instructors and horse trainers, and many well trained horses of exceptional heart and ability. The Advisory Board is made up of teachers, physical therapists, mental health professionals and community elders. We work in partnership with individual families and the public schools.
