Milwaukee Center for Independence – Pediatric Special Needs Medical Day Care Center
MCFI offers the only community-based skilled day nursing service in Milwaukee for children ages birth to 20 with special health care needs that is certified by Medicaid and accredited by the Joint Commission.
MCFI Pediatric Special Care provides skilled nursing services for children ages birth to 20 years who are living with special health care needs. Dedicated to both children and their families, Pediatric Special Care, Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Building, 2020 West Wells Street, Milwaukee, is child-care licensed, Medicaid-certified and accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO). MCFI core programs are nationally accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.) MCFI Pediatric Special Care has earned gold certification from the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

Assessment, programming and tracking

Early education program option through Wells Street Academy, located in the same building.

Hours: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday
Occasional Saturdays: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
