Missoula Community Medical Center
Community Medical Center is licensed (No. 8223) as a hospital by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, and is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Services at Community Medical Center include: 24-hour, physician-staffed emergency department; acute medical and surgical hospital; adult intensive care; pediatric intensive care; obstetrics; neonatal intensive care; pediatrics; laboratory services; radiology services; nuclear medicine; respiratory therapy; Joint Reconstruction Center; The Montana Heart Center; Montana Breast Health; Community Rehabilitation Center; primary care and specialty providers. Community Medical Center is the only facility providing obstetrical and newborn care in Missoula County. In addition, it is one of only three facilities in the state offering high-risk obstetrical care and neonatal intensive care. It is a referral center, receiving mothers and infants from throughout western Montana and Idaho. Maternal and neonatal emergency transport services are available. Community Medical Center is the only hospital in western Montana that has a separate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for kids. Community Medical Center's Rehabilitation Center is the largest, most comprehensive and longest-standing program of its kind in the state of Montana. It is noted for its brain and spinal cord injury, as well as stroke and orthopedic rehab programs. It includes a residential and transitional living and day treatment program for brain injury survivors.
