The Missouri Brain Injury Advisory Council (MBIAC), established pursuant to RSMo 192.745, shall make recommendations to the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) Director for developing and administering a state plan to provide services for brain injured persons. The Brain Injury Advisory Council is also a core component / requirement of the Federal Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Implementation Partnership grant and serves in an advisory capacity related to the grant activities. Vision:  The vision of the MBIAC is excellence in TBI prevention, public awareness, and the provision of services and supports across the lifespan of people with brain injuries and their families. Mission:  The council’s mission is to lead in the development of a collaborative statewide system of prevention, public awareness, and provision of services and supports driven by the needs of individuals with brain injury and their families.
