Montana Mental Health Association
Mental Health America of Montana is a statewide education and advocacy organization. Our mission is to work for good mental health for all; and for social justice as well as quality services for persons with mental illnesses. For over fifty years, MHA of MT has been dedicated to eliminating the stigma of mental illness, to supporting programs and individuals who provide direct mental health services, to improving care and treatment of persons with mental illnesses, and to preserving the rights of mental health consumers and their families. MHA of MT is an inclusive organization and welcomes membership from all interested persons. To fulfill our mission, we rely entirely on the financial contributions of our members and supportive gifts, foundations, and grants. MHA of MT accomplishes its mission through broad based volunteer participation, collaboration with public and private agencies, identification with consumer interests, and active participation with decision makers. We work with all individuals and organizations that are committed to better mental health services. MHA of MT sponsors numerous mental health related forums, including the legislative Mental Health Caucus. We also support consumers and their families by providing them with leadership training.
