NC Academy of Family Physicians, Inc
The North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians is the state's largest specialty medical association, with a membership of over 3,000 family physicians, Family Medicine residents and medical students. The NCAFP is a federated chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians and was originally chartered in 1948.
Our Mission and Vision The NCAFP is committed to improving primary and family healthcare in NC. Central to the mission of the NCAFP and the NCAFP Foundation is to promote the improvement, equal-access and overall quality of health care that is available to all North Carolinians. The Academy and its partners are currently executing several initiatives to make this a reality.
The NCAFP delivers a diverse array of continuing medical education that keeps family physicians and primary care professionals knowledgeable and current on the latest scientific evidence in medicine. This improves their care, enhances their performance and raises health care quality.
The NCAFP works aggressively to advance health policy that improves and strengthens the specialty of family medicine and primary health care in North Carolina. The Academy is a leading voice in many state health initiatives and actively engaged in helping impact NC's delivery system.
