Funding for the cost of home modifications, technology, or services needed by consumers who experience a disability are provided by numerous programs. The guidelines and eligibility requirements of these programs vary widely and are often overlooked as potential resources for those who are unfamiliar with how to access them.

The Assistive Technology Partnership's Resource Specialist will research the various programs across the state to determine a person's potential eligibility for funding assistance.

ATP education staff work toward the efficient use of all appropriate funding sources to help students get the assistive technologies they need. The education Funding Coordinator is familiar with funding sources and supports development of plans for appropriate cost sharing. This cooperation minimizes unnecessary duplication of purchases, inappropriate purchases, and maximum utilization of purchased devices. The education Funding Coordinator also works closely with school personnel, family and related service providers and offers helpful information on related laws, policies, funding tips, and possible funding sources.
