"Horseback riding has been proven as an effective therapy in the treatment for the following:
Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Mentally challenged, Down syndrome, Developmental delays, Learning disabilities, Muscular dystrophy, Spina Bifida, Hearing impaired, Visually impaired, Multiple sclerosis, amputees, paraplegics & many others.
Specific Goals for therapeutic riding:
*To promote positive change in attitudes toward self, peers & ability.
*To facilitate psycho-motor and cognitive skills.
*To foster development of language skills.
*To provide an opportunity to enhance school-related developmental skills in an interactive environment.
*To provide students with positive reinforcement."
