North Arkansas Transportation Service (NATS) started operation in 1981. NATS provides commuter service for workers who live in the more rural areas of NATS service area taking passengers to the urban areas to work. NATS also provides Demand Response service with 24 hour advance notice Monday through Friday taking passengers shopping, to medical appointments, etc. Another service provided by NATS is the deviated fixed routes in Mountain Home and Harrison. This service operates
from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with service in Harrison on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.
