Begun in 1962, the Council has a long history of speaking up for the concerns, direction, and policies applying to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Council awards grants to further specific initiatives that would enlarge opportunities and enhance supports and community inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Requests for Application are posted twice a year to stimulate well founded projects and to invite competitive bidding.

Action for Children “Action for Children is dedicated to educating and engaging all people across the state to ensure that our children are healthy, safe, well-educated and have every opportunity for success. Their goals are to ensure that all children will be healthy, will be safe in their homes, schools and community, will have economic security and will be provided the opportunity and resources to succeed in their education.”
