North Colorado Medical Center – Pediatric Rehabilitation
At North Colorado Medical Center, we offer a wide variety of programs to help children and adolescents reach their full potential.
The clinic provides inpatient and outpatient care, developmental intervention in the nursery. The clinic also provides an assortment of parent support and education resources.
The Pediatric Rehab Clinic specializes in:
Physical Therapy to help children with developmental delays, range-of-motion limitations, strength/muscle weakness, balance difficulties and abnormal tone with the goal of promoting functional gross motor skills.
Occupational Therapy helps children develop age-appropriate skills through play. Therapists address self-help skills, fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing skills and handwriting skills.
Speech Therapy/Speech-Language Pathology helps children with articulation, language, voice, stuttering, feeding and/or swallowing disorders. Therapists focus on children's ability to be successful with all forms of communication including speaking, listening, reading, writing and cognitive development.
Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing Program to help infants and children experiencing such feeding difficulties as reflux, breast/bottle feeding difficulties, failure to thrive, poor volume, food aversions and self-feeding difficulties. A team of speech-language pathologists assesses each child’s feeding/swallowing functions and develops an individualized program to address and help children overcome feeding and swallowing-related challenges.
