North Mississippi Regional Center – Residential & Non-Residential Services
The North Mississippi Regional Center offers care to individuals with developmental disabilities who are at least 5 years of age and who are residents of the northern 23 counties of Mississippi
Located in Oxford, the North Mississippi Regional Center is one of six comprehensive regional centers in Mississippi. NMRC operates under the authority of the MS Department of Mental Health and is licensed as an Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR), providing an array of services to individuals with intellectual and related developmental disabilities in the northern 23 counties of the state.
Off campus, the Center’s nonresidential services extend to communities throughout northern Mississippi.
Project RUN (Reaching Us Now), a model Early Intervention Program, The Technology Assistive Device Center, another nonresidential program, helps children and adults with
disabilities secure the appropriate technology to meet individual requirements. The TAD center offers free evaluation, information, training and computer access, equipment
individual requirements. The TAD Center offers free equipment demonstrations, referrals, and help in locating funding sources. The TAD Center is a primary resource for assistive technology in north Mississippi.
