Northcoast Children’s Services
Northcoast Children’s Services is a private non-profit corporation, which has provided educational, family, and recreational services and opportunities to children and adults of Humboldt and Del Norte County for thirty years. NCS currently administers Head Start, Early Head Start, California Child Development Centers, State Preschool programs, Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention, Child Care Food Service, Humboldt Recreation Program, Even Start, Reading is Fundamental, Car Seat distribution and other programs. Northcoast Children’s Services is the largest provider of comprehensive direct services to children from birth to age five and their families on the Northcoast. Approximately 1,200 children and their families receive services through NCS each year.
