NYU Langone Medical Center – Division of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery & the Center for Children
At the Center for Children, our mission it to provide a kid-friendly, family-focused approach to the comprehensive treatment of children with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders. Our goal is to revolutionize the provision of services to these children by creating a seamless, multidisciplinary setting where children can receive all of the necessary treatments under one roof.

The NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Pediatric Physical and Occupational Therapy Department services children from birth to 18 years of age with a wide range of developmental, orthopedic, neuromuscular, congenital and rheumatic conditions. The department prides itself on its multidisciplinary team approach. The Physical and Occupational therapists are part of an integrated medical team, which includes the patient/family, child life therapists, developmental pediatrician, geneticist, genetic counselor, neurologist, neurosurgeon, nurse/nurse practitioner, orthopedists, orthotist, pediatrician, physician assistant, psychologist, physiatrist, research coordinator, rheumatologist, and social worker. Comprehensive care is accomplished through direct contact with all team members, consultation at weekly clinics and participation in monthly medical conferences.
