The Department of Student Services supervises the identification of students for Special Education, Intellectually Gifted, and Section 504 services. The department strives to meet the individual needs of students found eligible through appropriate programming and the provision of related services. The Mississippi State Board of Education partners with school districts to provide programs and services for students with specialized educational needs. The Department of Student Services assures that District programs and services meet state and federal requirements."
