OKLAHOMA ABLE TECH Assistive Technology Resource
Oklahoma ABLE Tech is a statewide assistive technology program proudly located at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Oklahoma ABLE Tech's mission is to improve access to and acquisition of assistive technology (AT) for individuals with disabilities of all ages through comprehensive, statewide programs that are consumer responsive. A tremendous variety of assistive technology is available today. Oklahoma ABLE Tech is a way to connect Oklahomans with disabilities to AT through demonstrations and short-term loans to allow individuals to try and compare a variety of devices to find the best fit. OK ABLE Tech is a program of OSU Campus Recreation | Seretean Wellness Center.
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) has partnered with Oklahoma ABLE Tech to provide the Oklahoma Durable Medical Equipment Reuse Program (OKDMERP). The program is designed to reuse valuable DME that is no longer needed, and reassign it to an Oklahoma resident in need. Priority will be given to SoonerCare members, but any Oklahoma resident is eligible with a completed application packet. Pickup and delivery services are limited to Oklahoma County residents. Any Oklahoma resident can drop-off or pickup equipment at the OKDMERP office in Oklahoma City.
