"OKFD is a 50-year old not-for-profit social services organization that provides high quality and activity-oriented adult day health services for adults with developmental disabilities in central Oklahoma, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of developmentally disabled central Oklahoma adults by providing them with high quality and transformative learning programs and services that include life skills training, recreational activities and socialization opportunities in a safe, caring and compassion-focused environment.  Our vision statement is important, too.  It reads:  We envision a caring and involved community, where developmentally disabled adults are embraced by their fellow citizens as unique and special individuals who require easy access to and the financial support necessary for participating in positive educational programs that help them to realize their fullest potential possible.
Our focus is on providing a safe, friendly and happy environment, where we work one-on-one with clients to improve their health and well being through activities that encourage the attainment of basic life skills, foster socialization with others and promote recreational activities and exercise."
