The Parent & Educator Partnership (PEP) is an Illinois Statewide Technical Assistance Center (ISTAC) of the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). The PEP project advances the ISBE's priority to improve the delivery of training and technical assistance to parents of school age children and educators. PEP services include: providing a Call-in Center for parents of students with disabilities to assist with understanding the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA); developing and supporting Parent Leadership; and assisting Local Educational Agencies (LEA) in meeting the requirements of Title 1 Section 1118 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (formerly, No Child Left Behind).
