Pediatric Neuroscience Center – Comprehensive Epilepsy Center – Swedish Medical Center
The Swedish Pediatric Neuroscience Center (SPNC) provides comprehensive neurological care for infants, children and adolescents with a wide spectrum of acute and chronic neurological disorders. SPNC is a leader in the care of patients with complex epilepsy syndromes, and in the treatment of genetic epilepsies.
Our epilepsy program has earned a national reputation for its medical and surgical treatment of seizure disorders. We’re also accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers as a level-four epilepsy center, which indicates the most comprehensive level of care for patients with epileptic seizures. This includes both adults and children diagnosed with epilepsy. We have a well-developed Pediatric Epilepsy program that enables children and their parents cope with their disorder, and we provide ongoing treatment to control seizures, maintain safety and allow our patients to participate in sports and other normal daily activities. The acclaimed Swedish Neuroscience Institute (SNI) provides advanced, progressive treatment for a wide range of brain, spine and central nervous system conditions. We have a roster of world-class neurologists and neurosurgeons, leading-edge operating rooms, TeleHealth access for patients outside the area, and a specially-trained Inpatient Neurology Team – all with a level of care and compassion focused on improving outcomes and renewing hope.
