Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital – PENNSYLVANIA
Our specialized 10-bed pediatric unit is designed for our youngest patients (infancy to age 21) and offers a safe, secure, and emotionally supportive environment.
Clinicians work with pediatric specialists, referring physicians, schools, the family, and the child to set goals and review progress. We also help families identify additional services and resources available to them within their communities.
Our pediatric unit offers child-sized therapeutic equipment and furniture, games, and activities in a colorful and cheerful setting.
Mobility Enhancement Program
Children with acquired difficulties in walking or hand function due to limb injuries, burns, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, or prolonged illness may benefit from this innovative program.
Orthopedic/General Rehabilitation
We provide expert care to children with a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including multiple trauma, fractures, and sports-related injuries. Our interdisciplinary team helps patients to: Restore function and mobility Increase strength and skills Utilize adaptive techniques, equipment, and strategies Resume daily activities as safely and independently as possible
