Recreation Programs, Oakland County (MI)
Oakland County Parks strives to provide recreational and leisure opportunities for all residents of Oakland County. Adaptive Recreation provides therapeutic recreation programs and services. Other programs include camping, golf, nature education and outdoor activities.
Adaptive Recreation
Adaptive Recreation program provides individuals with disabilities with opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and learn in a supportive environment. Mobile Recreation has inflatables available for your next parts, busses to get everyone around and birthday party packages sure to meet any budget Oakland County Parks welcomes individuals with disabilities to participate in its wide range of recreational and leisure opportunities. There are two CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) staff to educate all parks staff and volunteers in adaptations for general recreation programs and services, which enables everyone to participate

Junior Disabled Sport team
Oakland County Parks, City of Southfield and the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living are partners in providing conditioning, practice and games for youth with disabilities for wheelchair sports.
