Redwood Resource Center – Kentucky
Redwood guides children and adults with severe and multiple disabilities to achieve independence and reach their highest potential throughout their lives, by providing enriching educational, therapeutic and vocational services
The Redwood Assistive Technology Resource Center is one of four assistive technology providers in Kentucky approved for First Steps equipment rentals and loans, purchasing of assistive technology, and providing individualized services. The others are located in Owensboro, Louisville and Lexington. The lending libraries were established to provide short-term loans of assistive technology. Extended loans may be provided depending upon the policies of the lending library and equipment availability.
Redwood Children's Programs:
Redwood offers quality programs that serve children with and without special needs including: Early intervention, preschool education, school age child care, summer youth program and early childhood child care. Children, from birth to age 20, learn and grow through stimulating, educational and therapeutic programs. An array of services is available for children with both mental and physical disabilities.
Redwood’s Child Development Program offers families an inclusive therapeutic childcare environment where children with and without special needs grow and learn.
Redwood’s Summer Respite Care (SRC) is a therapeutic recreation program serving school-aged children with disabilities from Northern Kentucky and Southwestern Ohio. Redwood and local school districts work together to make SRC a positive, learning place for children entering first through twelfth grades
