Richardson Park Elementary School
Richardson Park Elementary School's staff works diligently to create an environment where students and their families experience respect and dignity. At this community-oriented school, parents/guardians are encouraged to be involved in their children's learning through ongoing communication with the staff and frequent visits to the facility. An active PTA Executive Board promotes family involvement by sponsoring a variety of activities throughout the year; this body also serves as key fund raisers for the school's many behavioral/academic initiatives.
Progress Toward Implementing State Content Standards:
Park's academic programs are ground in effective, research-based school approaches. The results of DSTP tests provide imortant data which is used to inform instruction and improve student achievement. Teachers stay current in their classroom practices through personally initiated study and focused staff development, both of which enhance student learning.
