RIDES (Riding to Improve Development, Esteem, Strength, Spirit)

R.I.D.E.S (Riding to Improve Development, Esteem, Strength, Spirit) is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt, non-profit charity. R.I.D.E.S. is a registered charity in the state of Mississippi, and is a member center of NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association), and is located in Caledonia, MS. The Lowndes County site is located in the northeast central part of the state near the Alabama state line.

Provides therapeutic horseback riding for disabled individuals and currently serves 17 riders ages 5-22 with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities. ADD, ADHD, Aspersers, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, mental retardation, scoliosis, speech impairment, and development delays. Our riders are very special and we currently have 25 volunteers that actively participate with the riders and form loving bonds with them.
