"Rural/Metro Ambulance has been a respected leader in the delivery of 911 emergency and non-emergency interfacility ambulance transportation throughout Nebraska for more than 30 years.  
Rural/Metro proudly provides 911 emergency and non-emergency ambulance services Adams County, based in Hastings, while our Omaha-based operations provide non-emergency interfacility services to hospitals and long-term care centers for patients who require medical supervision during transport throughout the greater Omaha and Council Bluffs, Iowa area.
With a fleet of more than 35 vehicles and approximately 90 employees, we are one of the largest private ambulance services in the state of Nebraska.
Our experienced team of certified paramedics, EMTs and other support staff set the standards for exceptional medical transportation, patient care, safety and community service with a shared commitment to the patients we serve.  We staff both Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support units, as well as ATS (Aternative Transportation Service) vans equipped with oxygen and wheelchair and stretcher lifts.  Wheelchair vans provide transportation to those who are ambulatory, but may need extra assistance for doctor's appointments, hospital discharges, adult day care or dialysis treatment. 911 Emergency Ambulance Services:  Rural/Metro's certified paramedics and emergency medical technicians arrive on the scene with the skills and expertise to rapidly administer care, coordinate with on-scene first responders, communicate with emergency department physicians and transport patients to the most appropriate facilities.
Interfacility Ambulance Services: From large hospital networks and healthcare systems to skilled nursing facilities dotted throughout our service areas, we are the trusted ambulance provider that healthcare professionals turn to for their patient transportation needs. With a high number patients requiring interfacility transportation on a non-emergency basis, we are experts at ensuring our customers’ needs are met.
