The Rutland County Parent/Child Center, one of 16 parent/child centers located throught Vermont, is a community-based, private non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and meeting the needs of parents, children, and families. Vision: All children and families in Rutland County are capable, confident and contributing community members. Mission: Rutland County Parent Center’s mission is to nurture children and families through supportive positive educational experiences that enhance their success in the community. PROGRAMS AT RCPCC: Resource and Referral: RCPCC has become a “one stop shop” for information and access to area services for families; Early Childhood Programs: We provide year round, full and part time, quality childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in our 4 child care sites; Therapeutic Childcare: The Therapeutic Child Care Clinical Coordinator and staff work with children and  child care staff to promote the social- emotional wellness of the children; Parenting Education and Support: RCPCC provides parenting workshops and classes that cover a broad range of topics.  These are offered on site and in outlying communities; Playgroups:  These are free and open to all families in Rutland County. Our Play Group Facilitator plans weekly get- togethers for families with young children to meet and explore new materials together; Children's Integrated Service: Early intervention: CIS-EI is available to families with children birth to three who are experiencing a developmental delay; Reach Up: A supportive program of case management for families eligible for RUFA grants.  Case managers support families that in balancing work and parenting, and goal setting, toward the goal of self sufficiency; Learning Together Program: Focuses on pregnant and or parenting individuals from minors up to age 21, who are working toward their high school diploma.  It is a center based program that includes life skills, parenting, job readiness, and emotional wellness along with the state required high school curriculum; Community Development: RCPCC staff meet regularly with local and state partners to develop and support a system of well- coordinated, comprehensive services for all families for all families in Rutland county and in the State of Vermont.
