SLS as trained will apply the core programs from The Hill Center for Reading, Math, and Language Arts. The programs utilize research-based multisensory structured language methodology, focused on reading, written language and math. The reading and writing programs are based on the work of Dr. Samuel Orton and Dr. Anna Gillingham and consist of a multisensory structured language approach to teaching reading and written language. The structure of the programs include a 4:1 student/teacher ratio that allows close student-teacher interaction in a nurturing environment while removing the stigma often associated with learning differences.
