Shriners Hospitals for Children is one of the largest pediatric sub-specialty health care systems in the world, providing specialized care to children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate.

The Shriners Chicago Hospital has a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals specializing in issues related to CP, with a combined 75 years of expertise in caring for kids with mild to complex cerebral palsy.

Our pediatric specialists provide customized care plans which may include evaluation of muscle function and gait in Movement Analysis Laboratory, therapy program to develop functional skills and maintain joint and body alignment, Botox and Baclofen as part of physical medicine and rehabilitation, braces or splint, equipment evaluations for wheelchairs or adaptive gear.

Our hospital includes warm water therapy pool and advanced technology such as the Lokomat and Alter-G zero-gravity treadmill.

Each of our 22 locations specializes in one or more of our broad service lines. All care and services are provided to children up to age 18 regardless of the families’ ability to pay.
