Slidell Memorial Hospital operates a Pediatric Patient Care Unit (PPCU) designed for those children who require a hospital stay in a non-critical setting. The Pediatric unit is on the second floor of the hospital and contains eight all-private beds.  The Pediatric Unit provides multidisciplinary care for infants, children and teenage patients with respiratory, gastrointestinal and infectious diseases as well as recovery from surgery and serious illness, such as pneumonia, RSV or meningitis.
