Children's Health Program

The goal of this program is to improve access to early prenatal care in an attempt to improve birth outcomes and reduce infant mortality within Somerset County.

Services: Registered Nurse Case Managers provide services in the home that focus on assisting participants to access health care and related services, practice healthy behaviors and utilize good parenting skills.  Somerset County pregnant women and children under age one, enrolled in the Maryland Medical Assistance Program, with a qualifying risk factor
 

Children With Special Health Care Needs Program

Somerset County Health Department has a special grant that can provide summer camp scholarships to children with special health care needs.
