Joanne Godek – Director of Educational Support Systems
The South Burlington School District has received national recognition for quality and is noted for the excellent work of our faculty and students. Elementary programs are developmental with an emphasis on early literacy. All elementary schools include grades K-5 and provide art, music, physical, education, and world language opportunities to enhance the core academic curriculum. Instructional units include multiage and single grade options for parents with all grade configurations expected to meet the learning needs of various learners. To assist classroom teaches with this responsibility, each elementary school has Special Education and English As A Second Language support available to students. Each school also has a guidance counselor, school librarian, and school nurse.
