Special Kids (Oklahoma Life Skills Association)
"Oklahoma Life Skills Association was founded August 17, 2002. In April of 2003 the Oklahoma Life Skills Association opened Special Kids, an in-home day care facility licensed to serve twelve children between the ages of 0-16.
Today, Special Kids serves approximately 45 children, aged newborn to 18 years. Xceptional Kids, Broken Arrow, serves approximately 50 children.
The Special Kids program bridges a critical gap in child care services to families who have children with a developmental, physical or emotional challenge. Special Kids offers Early Learning, Pre-K, Before and After School programs for children aged newborn to 21 years, with or without developmental disabilities.
Special Kids offers on site physical, speech and occupational therapy. Special Kids received funding in 2009 to purchase a building for their unique program.
We have purchased a building and are looking forward to completing the rehabilitation project and moving to our forever home. "
